My primary area of interest is the Renaissance philology, especially the early modern reception of Latin authors.
My primary area of interest is the Renaissance philology, especially the early modern reception of Latin authors.
I have a background in Classical textual criticism, and I follow the approach of Giorgio Pasquali, who stated the importance of merging the historical and the philological perspective when researching on a text, i.e., studying all the aspects related to its circulation throughout different ages and different contexts.
I obtained a Ph.D. in 2019 at the University of Parma with a thesis on the manuscript commentary on Catullus by the Paduan humanist Francesco Buzzacarini.
At the moment, I am collaborating with the ATRA project – Atlas of Renaissance Antiquarianism, run by Dr. Damiano Acciarino, at the University of Venice Ca’ Foscari.
